The SESSION give dancers an opportunity to try dance classes for a shorter period of time with no long term commitment. Dancers enrolled in the ACADEMY SEASON, have made a commitment to training at Empower Dance! Season and Session Dancers perform in the Fall Showing and the Spring Annual Recital!

GENERAL QUESTIONS

When does the Spring Session START? January 27, 2020
How do I know which classes to take? All students are required to take the Tuesday Intro Ballet/Jazz or Ballet/Jazz I Class as a prerequisite or in addition to another class. Additional class placement decisions are based on skill and in-class observation. Questions about class placement? Contact Directors at empowerdancestudio@gmail.com.
Will there be performance opportunities? Yes! Annual Recital in June required for all dancers enrolled in the Spring Session.

WHAT TO WEAR?

What do they Wear to Class? All Ballet/Jazz Classes: Leotard, Tights, Skirt, Ballet Shoes; included in the Plie Dancewear. Jazz shoes must be purchased separately.
- PreBallet/Tap: Tendu Dancewear includes Tap shoes
- Jazz/Hip Hop: Black Leotard, Empower Dance Leggings, Jazz shoes (Bring Sneakers). Dancers should have tights but they are not required for class.
- Modern/Lyrical: Black Leotard, Black Leggings or Black shorts (with tights) Bare feet.
Do I need to purchase New Dancewear? No, if you have already purchased dancewear you don’t need to buy the package. You can purchase items A La Carte from the Dance Design store in the studio.
When is the last day to register for Spring? Last day to register for Spring Session is February 29th, 2020. Registration fee and tuition payment must be made at the time of registration.
Do you offer scholarships? Yes, The Empower Dance Foundation awards scholarships to dancers in need. Applications are available in June for the entire season and can be found at Empower Dance Foundation Scholarships.

RECITAL INFO

Is the recital optional? No! Every dancer enrolled in our Spring Session MUST participate in the performance. Exceptions are made for children under the age of 5.
Is there a fee associated with participating? Yes, there is a $350 fee for dancers in 1 class (includes Costumes, Photography, DVD, 1 Souvenir Program, Class Photo, Recital shirt, and 2 Tickets) *The fee is per child, each child will receive ALL items included with the fee. ($25 fee for each additional class)
